James L. Halferty

President and Chief Executive Officer

James L. Halferty has been active in the California real estate industry for over 45 years. As Founder of Halferty Development Company in 1980, he has achieved a reputation as an innovator in the interrelated fields of design, construction, marketing and finance. Mr. Halferty holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Humanities from the University of Southern California.

Christopher E. Peto

Chief Operating Officer

Chris Peto started with the company in 2005 as Project Manager and quickly advanced to Director of Development and now Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Peto’s responsibilities include overseeing new and old developments, managing consultants, performing due diligence of future projects, obtaining permits and approvals from various municipalities in California and Nevada.

Kevin Evans

Director of Construction Management

Kevin Evans joined the company in 2014. His responsibilities include assisting the COO with new development due diligence and project coordination; managing the construction bid process; managing the project construction phase, construction contracts, contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure inclusion of owner criteria, tenant lease criteria and conditions of approval; and preparing construction budgets and change orders to ensure the projects meet budget and time obligations.

Cassie Yee

Director of Project Management

Cassie Yee started with the company in 2005 in the capacity of receptionist and has since advanced to Assistant to the Director of Property Management, Assistant to the Director of Development and Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, and in 2017 was promoted to Director of Project Management.

Ms. Yee’s day-to-day management duties include lease administration; coordination and management of all physical operations of the properties including maintenance, repairs and inspections.

Sarah G. Villegas

Director of Property Management

Sarah Villegas is responsible for the day-to-day operations and asset management of our shopping center portfolio. Some of her responsibilities include tenant relations, lease renewals, new leases, shopping center maintenance, rent collections, annual budgets and CAM reconciliations.

Ms. Villegas started with the company in 1990 and she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Multi-Disciplinary Studies from Santa Clara University.

Nathalie Theiller

Accounting Manager

Nathalie Theiller is responsible for general accounting including accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciling bank accounts, monthly variance reports, monthly financial statements, construction loans and other cash management responsibilities.

Ms. Theiller started with the company in 1990.

Kelly Davis

Administrative Assistant/Assistant to Director of Property Management

Kelly Davis performs various administrative duties and assists the Director of Property Management with everyday tasks.

Ms. Davis joined the company in 2016 after graduating from the University of Southern California with a B.A. in Psychology.

Katie-Lynn Komlos

Bookkeeper

Katie-Lynn Komlos started with the company in 2013 in the capacity of Administrative Assistant, and moved into the accounting department in 2016 as Bookkeeper. She is responsible for all accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Ms. Komlos holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from California State University Channel Islands.

Dmika Greco

Assistant to the President

Dmika Greco manages the office, oversees Human Resources and the company’s health insurance plan, prepares offers and coordinates escrows, and assists Mr. Halferty in his day-to-day operations for the company.

Ms. Greco completed a one-year program at Minneapolis Business College, and then went on to working as an Administrative Assistant for a large corporation in St. Paul, Minnesota. She joined Halferty Development Company in 1999.
